Ten Poems About Tea (Lessons in Teamaking)Lessons In Teamaking, the opening poem from The Honicknowle Book of the Dead has just been published by Candlestick Press in an anthology called Ten Poems About Tea. Gathered around the teapot in order of appearance are Thomas Hardy, Kenny Knight, Eavan Boland, Jo Shapcott, John Arlott, Carol Ann Duffy, John Betjeman, Sheila Hackney, John Agard and Tiffany Atkinson. Freshly boiled, served without sugar or one lump or two.

Steve Spence Shortlisted for Forward Prize 2010I read on the Internet tonight that my friend and Shearsman bandmate Steve Spence has been shortlisted for the Forward Prize First Collection 2010, for his book of pirate poems A Curious Shipwreck, which was published by Shearsman books earlier this year. Congratulations Steve, now go on and win it Jim lad. If you click onto the poems page you can now read 'At Worlds End' and 'Dissolving Textures' from A Curious Shipwreck and an unpublished poem 'When The Swashbuckling Had To Stop'.
Poetry ReadingKenny will be continuing the reading of The Honicknowle Book Of The Dead on Tuesday 24th August in the grounds of Devonport Park.
